Hosted Operations Platform

Service Platform

One platform for the work you bill for.

The Service Platform is one platform for managed service providers, manufacturing businesses and any small or medium businesses. Your staff work in the portal. Your customers use the service portal. Quoting, inventory, manufacturing and assembly, purchasing, invoicing and billing sit in the same system. It's been in production for years.

Contact management is shared across every module, so a customer record is one record. The contact you quote is the contact you invoice. The quote, the stock it draws on, the purchase behind it and the invoice that closes it are all in one platform. One customer, multiple service touchpoints.

What it does

  • Multi-tenant out of the box

Be a reseller, a customer, or a managed service provider within the one platform. Drive usage tracking, service provision and billing from a single interface. Your customer base changes as you add resellers and customers. The billing follows it.

  • Your finance systems

The Service Platform connects to Xero, QuickBooks and Stripe for finance, to HubSpot for CRM, and to Microsoft SharePoint for documents. The platform holds the work and the charges. The connectors link Service Platform to the systems that record them. Your finance team stays in the ledger it knows. Your sales team stays in the CRM it knows, or extends your current offering using the CRM that comes with the platform. It's your choice.

  • Your address and logo

One platform serves every tenant and every customer. Each tenant has its own web address, its own logo and its own look. Your customers reach your address and see your brand. The service portal carries your name through the whole job, from the quote they accept to the invoice they receive. Every page they open belongs to your business.

  • Quotes accepted by link

You send a quote as a link. Your customer opens the link, reads the quote and accepts it. There's no account to create and no login to remember. The customer can decline optional entries. Choose-one groups let the customer pick a single item from a set. The answer comes back to you inside the Service Platform, on the same record you quoted from.

  • All your assets in one box

The asset register holds each tenant's own fields and vocabularies. You name the fields your business uses and the values they take. You filter the register to the set you want. You export every column, and the export resolves references to names rather than codes. The file that comes out reads in your own words, so the person who opens it can use it.

One platform holds every role your business plays

Few businesses sit in one position. You resell a service to your customers. You buy another service from a provider above you. You deliver some of the work yourself. The Service Platform is multi-tenant, so the one platform holds you in all three positions, including the side of the business that buys.

The entity tree is the mechanism. Resellers, their direct customers and their subresellers sit in one tree, and the tree is what usage tracking, service provision and billing read. The branch that consumes a service is the branch charged for it. You add a reseller or a customer to the tree, and the charge lands at the right point from that one record.

Invoicing and billing run across every module. Rate processing and pricing calculation sit in the backend, so a subreseller's usage, a direct customer's accepted quote and a job you deliver yourself are priced by the same rules. Australian GST is built in. The three reach the same invoice, whichever role you were in when the work started.

Your staff and your customers work in two applications over one set of records

The Service Platform has two user-facing applications. You and your staff work in the portal. Your customers use the service portal. The two read the same customer, quote and invoice records, so a change in one shows in the other. Your customers see their invoices in the service portal. The same record serves both applications.

Broadstack runs and manages the platform, including the service portal your customers use. Your customers still deal with your business: they go to your web address and they read your name. A managed service provider, a manufacturer and a small business each get the same two applications, with their own address and their own look over the top.

Contact management is shared across every module, so your sales team can work where it prefers. Connect HubSpot and keep the CRM your team knows. Use the CRM that comes with the platform instead, and you add to what you sell using the product you already have. Either choice leaves one record for each customer, which every module reads.

You build a quote from a catalogue your business already wrote

The sales catalogue holds your items and their prices. Price bands set a different price at a different quantity, so a customer who takes ten pays the ten rate automatically. Reusable blocks hold the scope you wrote once and agreed on. You assemble a quote from those parts rather than type it again.

You set a price in one place and every new quote takes it from there. The wording your business agreed on is the wording that goes out, whether you're quoting a managed service, a build of assembled parts or a single item off the shelf. Optional entries and choose-one groups let one quote cover the variants you offer.

An accepted quote reaches every module beyond the sales team. It sits against the same contact record every other module reads. Your staff pick it up in the portal. The invoice sits against the same quote and customer records. One customer record holds the trail from the first quote to the invoice.

Manufacturing, inventory and purchasing run in the same platform as the quote

Manufacturing and assembly are modules built into the platform. You turn parts into a finished item and the platform tracks the parts you consumed. The item you assemble is an item you can quote, sell and invoice. A manufacturing business runs its build and its sales in one place, on one set of stock figures.

Inventory, purchasing, sales and quoting sit beside them. An accepted quote draws on stock that the platform already counts. The purchase that replaces that stock is raised in the same platform. The invoice for that work is raised there too. Every module reads the same numbers directly.

Equipment records differ by business, so the asset register takes each tenant's own fields and vocabularies. You name the fields and set the values they take, and the register then records your equipment in the words your staff use. Filter it to the assets you want, then export. The file carries every column, with references written out as names rather than codes.
